Flocking

The flocking is used in many ways. The flocking application is used across the automotive industry to designers and from luxury cosmetics' boxes to toys and clothes.

Flocking of the products can increase its value in terms of the tactile sensation, aesthetics, color and appearance. This application results in velvety feeling, fascinating touch and visual appeal. The functional advantage of flocking is the insulation, slip-or-grip friction, and low reflectivity. The length and the thickness of the fibers can vary the appearance of the flocked product. Using thin fibers we can produce a soft velvety surface, thicker fibers effect more bristle-like surface. Flocking in the automotive industry is used for avoid the scratching of articles, anti-skidding e.g. storage compartment (glove-box, glasses holder, etc,) and decorative purposes may be applied to a number of different materials.
